Wrapped in Love: Our Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway for High Desert Families
We're excited to announce our first community outreach event: Wrapped in Love: Thanksgiving of Hope, a turkey and essentials giveaway for individuals and families across Adelanto, Victorville, Apple Valley and the surrounding High Desert.
Why Thanksgiving matters to us
The Last Branch Foundation was created in memory of our founder's parents and siblings. For people carrying grief or hardship, the holidays can be the loneliest time of the year. An empty seat at the table hurts. An empty table hurts even more.
We believe a filled table can lift a hurting heart, and that every family deserves to feel seen, valued and not alone this Thanksgiving.
What each family will receive
- A turkey for the holiday table
- A food bag with sides and essentials
- A little extra: a gift card or dessert item
- Resources and support: a grief support card and local resource information
Our goal: 50+ families
We're aiming to serve at least 50 families this November. The date, time and location will be announced soon on our website and social media.
How you can help
Sponsor a family
About $70 sponsors a whole family's Thanksgiving: a turkey, a food bag and a little extra. Give online or contact us to sponsor a family.
Donate items
We welcome new, unopened turkeys, grocery gift cards, canned goods, stuffing, sides, rolls and desserts. Contact us to arrange a drop-off.
Business sponsorships
Grocery stores, restaurants, churches and local businesses can sponsor multiple families or donate in bulk. Sponsors will be thanked publicly on our website and social media. Become a sponsor.
Volunteer
We need hands to pack bags, organize donations and greet families on the day. Sign up to volunteer.
